Tesla Model Y Price Increase Coming April 1, 2024
The Tesla Model Y's price will increase on April 1, 2024. So, if you're still hesitant to pull the trigger, there's still a little time left.
For March 2024, the Tesla Model Y's starting price is $36,490—after federal tax incentives. Before EV tax incentives, the Tesla Model Y costs $43,990.
All Model Y cash or finance purchases within the month of March will receive 5,000 free Supercharging miles, too. New customers will also get a one-month free trial period for Full Self-Driving (FSD). Tesla's free one-month FSD will probably be available past March.
As of this writing, Tesla's website invites customers to shop for available Model Y trims. However, the "Customer Order" option is currently not listed as an option for Model Y purchases on the company's website.
April will mark the start of a new quarter, which might be why it's raising the Model Y's price again next month. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives predicts that Tesla delivered between 425,000 and 475,000 units in the first quarter. Adam Jonas from Morgan Stanley reduced his delivery estimate for Tesla from 469.4k units to 425.5k.
