Manufactured here in the USA, this ultra-compact Rennstand (Rennen means race in German) has been a hit among Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y owners because it solves the problem of lifting and supporting your Tesla from the proper spot.

Raising the vehicle from the factory lift point ensures that the precious battery pack will not get crushed and out of harm's way. A Tesla-specific jack pad is included with each stand. Fits Tesla's official lifting point for Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q1: HOW MUCH WILL THE RENNSTAND SUPPORT?

A1: Each Racing Red Rennstand is rated for 3 tons US or 2,722 KG. and each quick-release pin is rated at 9000 lbs. Assuming your Tesla weighs 5000 lbs., the most you would support with one Safe Jack is half of that at 2500 lbs. since the vehicle is also supported by its other tires or other Safe Jack stands that distribute the weight. A 5000 lb vehicle might put as much as 2500 lbs. on a Rennstand, or only 62% of the stands rating. The more stands, the lower the loading on each stand because they are sharing the load. In addition, the stands are all tested in accordance with ASME standards to at least 150% of the rated load (9,000 lbs.) but please do not exceed the 6,000 lb. load rating for safety sake.

Q2: WHAT SIZE FLOOR JACK WILL FIT UNDER THE RENNSTAND?

A2: Teslarati recommends the Arcan XL2T Low Profile jack which we found to have an extremely low profile and has worked well for our lowered Tesla track car. Whichever jack you use, it can not be wider than the space between the legs. The Safe Jack will accept floor jacks that are up to 12 inches or 305 MM wide.

NOTE: Tesla Model 3 Performance owners - please be sure to measure the distance between the floor and the lower side rocker and ensure there are at least 5.5 inches of clearance. Some newer Model 3P owners have reported being short .5-.75". In those instances, Tesla Model 3P owners can either drive onto some wooden blocks or use stackable rubber/plastic garage tiles, available from Home Depot, beneath the tire to create additional clearance.

Q3: WHAT IF MY TESLA IS LOWERED? HOW MUCH ROOM IS REQUIRED TO PLACE THE STAND?

A3: You will need at least 5.5 inches or 140 MM of clearance from the center of the jack point to any obstruction in order to safely place the Rennstand. You will need 2.1" plus the height of your jack to place the Rennstand under your vehicle.

  • All products must be in new condition and returned in the original packaging.
  • Returns must not have been installed, damaged, or used in any way. Used/open electronics are not eligible for returns.
  • All products must be returned within 30 days of the delivery date.
  • Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

All returned items will be thoroughly inspected prior to issuing a refund and may be subject to restocking fees, up to 20% of the purchase price, as determined by the warehouse's receiving department. 

Teslarati cannot accept freight costs of any returned merchandise.

I bought two of these to do safe front-to-back tire rotations and wheel swaps for racing. They worked great and as described except that due to manufacturing tolerance issues, sometimes the parts would get "stuck" inside each other and I would have to force them out with a hammer. They need to improve tolerancing to prevent this.
