Great Product! It should come with the car directly from Tesla. I Love it!

I have a new 2022 Model Y so I had some problems with installation as my car did not match the instructions. I have a Li-Ion battery instead of a 12v lead battery so I had to figure out where to run power. I also have a Hepa Filter I had to remove which was not in the instructions.And, removing the hood pistons was HORRIBLE!!! But, with the help of YouTube, I figured it all out and it works AWESOME! I love it. But, a little more difficult to install than it originally presumed.

The installation was perfect, as instructed in the video. If the power frunk doesn’t function after installation, update the firmware. Don’t depend on support to get back to you regarding it, I’ve email them multiple times but no reply from them for days.

Excellent aftermarket add-on

Since I bought my model y the only time I had open the frunk was to show people what was in there. I always felt it was actually unimpressive to show them something that popped like a normal car hood.
The power frunk kit change that. I now use the frunk more often than I use the rear hatch. It has given me useful space and now something I like to show off.
Installation was not impossible. I did struggle with it a little more than I was expecting but managed to get everything working correctly. One word of warning that the brackets are labeled incorrectly for which side of car they go on. Everything else on an automobile right always assumes the passenger side and left assumes the driver side. The brackets are labeled opposite of that.
