So far so good, this is not a long term assessment. It will be helpful if you know how to enter service mode so you can reset the battery install. Also configure the battery type to “Atlas” for the best charging speed, while in service mode.

Ordered and received within one week. Followed the video for an easy installation. Car accepted and rebooted successfully and thank was my biggest concern. Now I have an upgraded Tesla Model S Lithium 12V Battery and I am pleased with everything!!!

It’s a light weight and easy to install.

The battery is very lightweight. Installation took me about 1 hour ( you’ll need YouTube and some tools, folks). I really won’t know if it lasts longer until maybe 227 so stay tuned!

I paid Tesla to come out and open my model S (if the battery dies, nothing will open. You must remove covers in the two front wheel wells to pull on two orange handles to open the frunk). When I offered the Lithium 12 V Battery to the repair person, he said that those only go in the newer cars (mine is a 2016). He say he installed a led acid battery.
I had to argue a little with Teslarati, but since I hadn't even opened the box, they took the Lithium battery back. I just had to pay shipping.
Does anyone know what part of what I was told is true?

This battery is super light and easy to install. Everything in my 2014 model S works better and faster. Very happy this lithium battery.

Install went well. The weight of the product is much more manageable than the previous 12v.
The instructional video was very helpful. Only thing I would say would make it more helpful would be a recommendation to remove the frunk shock with the slotted screwdriver to make it easier to install.
Other than that, all seems well, yet again, the current 12v appears to be just fine too... which is troubling and leading me to believe there are other issues at bay causing the vehicle to not be able to restart occasionally in the past.

Love the 9 lbs. Much easier to install this one, than remove the old lead acid. Only difficulty is the original battery bracket will not fit over your battery in the 2014 Model S, where the battery well hidden in the lower left rear area of the frunk. Had to make modifications to the bracket to get it to fit. In your video of the 2014, that battery did not have a bracket. Otherwise, looking forward to at least FOUR YEARS of battery life.

it fit well and quality is good, however, the plastic insert snaps not enough for my mug guard and one is defective.

I hope the battery lasts for four plus years

I have to pull the bucket out again to find them. Maybe a long string with a lassoed end would have prevented this from happening, if I could have tied it to the wire and strung it through the plastic bucket to keep it connected. Having long sockets would have made the removal of the bucket easier.

The battery itself seems to be terrific, but for my 2013 Model S getting the old battery out was a major task. The instructional video doesn’t show that there are brackets holding down the old battery which are very hard to manage and don’t perfectly fit the slightly shorter replacement battery. All making for a pretty dangerous shorting / fire hazard potential. But 4 hours later, it’s in and working well.

Eighteen pounds lighter and lasts 3 times longer. What’s not to like ?!?!

Purchased new lithium 12 volt battery and product arrived quickly and works perfectly.

I have a 2015 Model S P85D. Over the last few months it has been taking a long time for the car to boot up. i updated the soft wear and took it in for a new memory board. That didn’t help and Tesla said there would eventually be a software update that will help. Unrelated, I got a 12v battery needs to be replaced notice. This shipped quickly and it was easy to follow the video instructions to install. It is much lighter then the old one, which will slightly improve performance and range. As soon as I powered the car back on it booted up instantly. Ever since the new 12v battery the car now boots up instantly. Don't know if it’s related, but great!

One piece missing from the instructions was there is a screw that the battery is mounted on in the 2013 S. Because the battery is a bit smaller, the tech said the screw didn't mount quite the same. Additionally the carrying clip needed to be removed to attach the fuses to the battery. Docked a star for the missing steps.

The battery is much lighter as advertised.

The only other issue that's come up is the car seems slower to "wake up". I used to be able to hop in and immediately put it in reverse and drive away as it would boot up when the door handles extended. Now the computer in the driver side dash doesn't seem to boot until I am sitting in the driver seat for 20 seconds or so. This may be related to the new computer that was installed recently not the battery, so I haven't docked a second star.

Installation went almost seamlessly. The only problem was the battery was slightly smaller than the stock battery so the strap didn't hold it tightly. I used the silicon carrying strap as filler and am happy with the results. Once installed I had no more "Low voltage" issues with the car.
